Three Tips to Integrate into Your Daily Routine for Managing Endometriosis

June 07, 20242 min read

If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you have endometriosis, these tips will be invaluable for you. Even if you haven't had exploratory or laparoscopic surgery to confirm the presence of endometrial adhesions outside your uterus, these tips can still help you manage your symptoms.

Understanding Endometriosis:

Endometriosis occurs when endometrial tissue migrates outside the uterus or when endometrial-like tissue embeds outside the uterus. This condition can cause bloating, constipation, painful intercourse, low back pain, hip pain, and various other symptoms. Today, we will focus on three tips to help you tackle endometrial pain and improve your period experience.

Three Tips for Managing Endometriosis:

  1. Colon Massage:

    • This technique helps move your colon and, consequently, other organs in your belly.

    • It can help decrease the strain caused by endometrial adhesions within the viscera.

    • Lie on your back with legs bent and supported. Place your hands on the bottom right side of your belly and move them in a circular pattern, following the path of your colon.

    • Do this massage every day for five minutes to help get your belly moving and alleviate symptoms.

  2. Diaphragmatic Pelvic Floor Opening Breathing:

    • This breathing technique uses the diaphragm to move organs and open the pelvic floor, enhancing blood flow and promoting healing.

    • Place one hand on your belly and the other on your chest. Inhale deeply into the belly, focusing on opening the anus and vagina. Exhale and allow closure to happen naturally.

    • Repeat this breathing exercise regularly to help manage endometrial pain and improve overall pelvic health.

  3. Hip Opener Exercise:

    • Tension in the belly caused by adhesions can lead to pain and bloating. Opening the hips can help alleviate this tension.

    • Sit tall with one leg crossed over the other in a seated position. Hinge forward while keeping your spine long and hold for 60 seconds to two minutes. Perform deep pelvic floor opening breaths in this position.

    • Repeat on the other side to ensure balanced opening and improved blood flow to the pelvic organs.

Cutting-Edge Treatment:

At our clinic, we use Shockwave Therapy, a cutting-edge technology that helps dissolve endometrial adhesions and scar tissue through the abdominal wall. This therapy has shown great success in mitigating endometrial pain and reducing bloating.
